 State of Affairs: Packaging Sustainability and Innovation in Corporate America
This event will bring together packaging executives from across the country for one day of focused discussion around the current state of affairs related to  sustainability and innovation in packaging.    Meet Dr. Joseph Hotchkiss, the new Director of the School of Packaging who joined us on
October 1.   Learn about the major strides being made related to the Center for Packaging Innovation and Sustainability. 
This will be a working meeting to vet out corporate needs, research directions and member focus.
 A detailed program  will be forthcoming .

PACKAGING DESIGN INTERFACE WORKSHOP

Structural design/graphics interface for optimization of the creative and production process. There is a better way...and we will teach it to you.
Course will include discussion and lectures to help you approach design holistically considering value across the supply chain.  Students will get experience using the latest design/interface software 
Learn how to streamline and speed the communications and design process within your organization.
Hone your skills in the areas of design for optimum results and creativity based on sound engineering and value added strategies.
March 10-12, 2010 
Fee:  $1950; early registration by February 1 $1750.

PRINCIPLES OF PACKAGING FOR NON-PACKAGING PROFESSIONALS

Find yourself in a packaging role
but without a background in the field?

This seminar is designed for those who do not have a degree in packaging but have a role in managing packaging and related operations within their organizations. This course will offer full insight in all aspects of packaging including function, materials, systems, distribution, among many other topics.  You will leave this course  better prepared to implemet cost savings, and value added strategies to your company's packaging and related operations and systems.  Format will be content heavy and intense over a 5 day period and will include lectures, laboratory exercises and an opportunity to meet in round table discussions with faculty whose expertise is in your area of work.

4 days plus 1 day for break-out sessions for focused study by industry in food/beverage, pharmaceutical/medical and automotive/industrial.

May 9-14, 2010 $3575.00
Registration will open January 11.
Includes course pack, continental breakfast every morning, all lunches and breaks a welcome reception and dinner.  Lodging is not included as part of the seminar fee, but negotiated rates will be available at select hotels
