Paula Perez is a PhD candidate in the School of Packaging. Her research is focused on leveraging new flexible package designs and a modified aseptic technique to reduce contamination in sterile devices during aseptic presentation. Paula previously worked as a Project Engineer at Edwards Lifesciences in the Dominican Republic, and completed internships with Unilever and A&Z Pharmaceuticals. She holds an MS in Packaging from Rochester Institute of Technology, as well as dual BS degrees from State University of New York at Farmingdale in Manufacturing Engineering Technology and Facility Management Technology/Industrial Technology.
