Specialist, Academic Advisor
Gayle Roubos received her Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Communications in 2006 from the University of Florida, with a specialization in graphic design and a minor in English. She went on to receive her teaching certification in secondary English Education in the state of Florida, followed by a Master of Arts in Education degree in 2008 from UF. Gayle taught for three years in secondary education, earning certifications in ESOL as well as a Florida Reading Endorsement, before moving on to collegiate education and academic advising. Prior to her position at Michigan State, Gayle worked as an advisor/recruiter for the University of Florida College of Medicine.
Gayle moved from Florida to Michigan State University with her husband in August 2011, and took over the position of Academic Specialist in the School of Packaging. Her role is to provide the Packaging student body with academic counseling and support to assist them in reaching their educational goals. Gayle will also be doing recruitment activities for the School of Packaging, focusing on bringing the best and brightest students from across the nation to MSU.
